Spin and Charge at the Nanoscale 2010
August 1 to 4, 2010
Magnetism has been a primary research focus in the Department of Physics at Simon Fraser University since the institution was founded 45 years ago. This effort was led by the pioneering work of Professors John Cochran, Tony Arrott, Bret Heinrich and became internationally recognized, with the department having one of the largest and strongest condensed matter physics groups in Canada. This research continues to the present day and includes new directions in correlated electron materials and magnetic resonance. In honour of this effort, and to cement ongoing collaborations in this area, we are holding a special international meeting: Spin and Charge at the Nanoscale, 2010: 45 Years of Magnetism at Simon Fraser University. |
